This Gladstone Sexual Health Clinic at Gladstone Community Health (right next door to the hospital) is available monthly.
On these dates the specialist doctors and nurses travel down from Rockhampton.
The first appointment is usually around 10 am.

If you don’t have symptoms you might have to wait for a week or so. If you have symptoms you can usually be seen the same day if you call in advance. This is why a phone-call referral from Respect Inc is very helpful. Please make sure you speak to the TRIAGE NURSE at the SEXUAL HEALTH CLINIC when you call.

They do screening for all STIs and HIV, and are the regional experts at Syphilis testing. All the tests are free and confidential.

They have friendly male and female staff and confidentiality is assured. A Medicare Card is needed for the testing to be bulk billed. Testing is free, and they provide many medications on-site at a low cost. You may need to pay for some medications.
