Respect Inc members are invited to attend our Annual General Meeting
DATE: Wednesday 14th October 2026
TIME: 1PM
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is for all members of Respect Inc to attend. The meeting will deal with 2026 issues and business of Respect Inc. At the AGM, Respect Inc members will get to have their say and vote for nominated members to sit on the Governance Committee and steer the Queensland sex worker organisation for the next twelve (12) months.
The AGM can be attended online via Google Meets or in person at our three offices.

Nominations are open for the 2026-27 Committee.
Nominations are invited from sex workers who are members of Respect Inc for any of the following positions on the Committee:
Members from Greater Brisbane x 2
A member from Greater Gold Coast, (within 100kms of Qld Border)
A member who resides in Cairns
A member who is a regional representative (200km or more from an office)
A member who is a Trans woman
A member who is a Trans man
A member who is gender diverse
A member from an Asian language background
A member who is male and provides services to predominantly male clients
A member who is Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
The roles of Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and remaining Committee Members will be decided upon at the GC meeting after the AGM.
To nominate:
You must be nominated by a member of Respect Inc, and the nomination must be seconded by another member. If you wish to be nominated, please ask another member to nominate you.
Fill out the 2026 Governance Committee Nomination form and email it to secretary@respectqld.org.au by Wednesday 30th September 2026.
Each Respect office also has printed nomination forms that you can fill out in person.

Become a member in time for the AGM:
If you are not a member and would like to be one, please fill in our membership application form online or pick up a paper copy in our offices. Membership applications must be received by Wednesday 30th September to be processed in time for the AGM. These forms can be handed in at any Respect Inc office, or emailed to secretary@respectqld.org.au.
